My "Apartment" Therapy

This is my cozy room that belonged to Brother Minh...He hides money randomly in these books... so far I've found $2.50 in two different books. -_-...Please ignore the "apartment" in the title of this post for I still have that apartment mentality.
This is to avoid burning the hardwood floor finish
This is my petite closet.
Sweet Brother Minh spent his week long vacation rearranging my room and getting me a new desk...
He even switched the bed around...
He left his brain food here. Look at his gigantic trophy from the International Society of Poetry. My goal is to read at least half of these books... Maybe Ill be just as intelligent as him....chyeahh...right. & this is only a small corner of this bookshelf.
From the kitchen to the room...

Brother Minh knew I had a weird obsession with glass bottles...When I arrived these were filled up with multi-colored daisies...At the end of the day when I sit in this room, I feel like luckiest girl in the world!
My comfy summer sandals that gave me the weirdest tan lines...

My Uncle's Garden

Let me take you through my uncle's garden of love...the hanging red chili marks the homecoming of Fall...
The old cherry tree died off so my uncle used it to grow this veggie
The black fruit is saved and dried out for the seeds to grow next summer.
Summer is my uncle's only chance to garden... These "christmas lightesque" Chilis are very sweet and not at all spicy.
Soon all of these will die... but for now, the entire plant from the leaves to the fruits and seeds are used
My uncle gathers all the leaves from his chili plants and makes a wonderful fresh soup
More species of chili...
This is my uncle standing tall and proud..
plenty to eat...

There should really be a sign that says "Dogs be aware" on this because this is the very herb/ vine  that is eaten with the infamous dog meat. Of course, we don't do that here... plenty to eat!

Waddup Georgetown!

Steph and I went boating one fine Sunday afternoon on the Potomac.

That's Arlington over there with those buildings since buildings in D.C. have a height limit.
Signs of Fall.

Cute little ol lanterns.
Plenty of Kayaks to rent.
Many more

The leaves caught my eye as I was walking by
Jack's Boathouse!

Persian Food in Georgetown.
These are addicting
A bakery in GT.
Bridges crossing over the canals
Reminds me of a mixture between NYC and SF
More bridges...& the canal
bridges again.
Fancy pants bank
Chic coffee place

Meet my former badminton doubles teammate Steph. She's awesome.

Can't taste the gold. -_-
Steph's first time trying Macarons.
not for her.
 cappuccino puhleez

I want to do this next time.
Sitting by the canal and...
sacrificing our legs to the blood-thirsty mosquitos.
